In association with the agencies Fork Unstable Media and Shape, FC St. Pauli has given its digital platforms a full makeover. The website and the official FCSP app now boast a fresh, clearly structured design that adheres to the latest technical standards.
The previous website had become a bit outdated and was no longer able to meet the growing requirements of the club and its stakeholders. It has now been completely revamped and follows a clear, easy-to-understand structure.
Enhanced navigation and a built-in search function make content easier to find, while "mega levels" provide an additional menu level that offers even more clarity.
New modules and links ensure that high-demand content can be accessed faster and more easily.
Full data sovereignty, enhanced security
The technology is based on a headless CMS for central entry of content on the website and in the app, ensuring the club is not only up to date but also prepared for the future. The system offers full data sovereignty, a high level of security and flexible module options.
Focus on accessibility
The digital platforms have been designed and implemented incompliance with the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 AA), the aim being to make content fully accessible to all users, for example, through the following measures:
- High contrast and enhanced readability through adjusted typography and line spacing
- Combination of icons and logos with clear text labels
- Click targets with a minimum size of 24x24 pixels, usually 44x44 pixels
- Text alternatives for images
- Consistent design language and navigation
- Alternative access options to all content
- Full keyboard usability
- Use of semantic HTML and compliance with industry coding standards
- Clear focus order for enhanced orientation
- Support for screen readers and text-to-speech functions
